Bio
I am a multimedia artist working and researching the intersection between art and biology for the conservation and recognition of biodiversity. At the moment I am Ph.D. Candidate in Artistic Research at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.
For me, observation consists of recognizing the rhythm of the existence of other beings. This is the first step in my process of artistic creation. My motivation resides in revealing natural events that go unnoticed, to transmit scientific knowledge together with the fascination for the living. With the purpose of showing other everyday life parallels to humans as a mirror to recognize our own.
With a particular emphasis on details, I explore biological processes like the conformation of cocoons in casemaking clothes moths or the drift of miner insects when devouring leaves. My artworks are the result of the almost symbiotic cooperation between human-nature.
